Out from Mammoth I had the last section of the Sierra to finish off. The passes gradually got easier but the weather was still changeable. It got to the point where I just wanted good weather to see the mountains......it's not so much fun when you can't appreciate the views. see pic below

On my own again heading towards Yosemite now I encountered lots more snow. I began to wonder whether my trail name should be changed to wetfoot as my feet had been for the past 3 weeks or so.
Next to me you can see the 'sun-cups'. These are a real tough deal to walk over.....If they are frozen it is ok......if they are soft you are likely to posthole. I heard some guy broke is knee postholing! Ouch big time.
